Certified payroll for Sage
Sage 100 Contractor is real construction accounting, built by people who knew what job costing is. Which makes the California gap more surprising: even here, the state's eCPR file is not a documented output.
What Sage gives you
Sage 100 Contractor is the most construction-aware system on our list: job costing at the core, payroll tied to jobs, and certified payroll reporting for the federal WH-347 handled through its embedded government forms facility. For federal Davis-Bacon paperwork, a well-configured Sage shop is largely covered, and Sage exports are rich because the underlying data model is.
What it cannot do
We found no documented native export of the California DIR eCPR XML from Sage 100 Contractor, and community threads asking for it read as feature requests, not features. California's electronic filing has its own format, its own validation quirks, and its own delivery system, covered in our eCPR guide, and a Sage shop typically bridges the gap the manual way: someone retypes into DIR's iForm, per project, per filing period. Sage shops skew toward exactly the crew sizes and multi-project loads where that manual bridge costs the most hours, and where a missed state filing freezes the largest progress payments.
How our mapping works with Sage
Export the payroll data you already produce, certified payroll reports, payroll registers, or a custom report, CSV or spreadsheet. The one time $995 setup maps your Sage layout: pay types to straight and overtime, your fringe and deduction structure, jobs to DIR project IDs, crafts to determination classifications. Sage's job-costed data usually makes this the smoothest mapping we do. From then on, weekly: your export in, a finished WH-347 with the Statement of Compliance staged for signature plus a validated DIR eCPR XML back, rates sanity checked against the project's published determination, a person reviewing every file. Your Sage system stays untouched.
Pricing, published
$995 one time setup. $249 per month flat for crews up to 25 workers, every project, every weekly filing, both forms. Crews of 26 to 50: $449 per month, still flat, still everything. Prime contractors and crews over 50: call us. First weekly filing free on your own live project.
